I love the big windows, that is great and rare these days. I bet they make it feel a lot bigger inside. If you are like me, you would rather not have the slides. One more thing to maintain and go wrong. They often take up basement space, and cut down on your carry capacity. You are outside a lot of the time anyway, either sightseeing or visiting around a campfire. Happy Trails, Penny, TX

Congrats guys! Heck I envied your rig already, even your current 5th wheel looks like it beats the hell out of my 26 foot 1997 travel-trailer (Oyster Can) even though its just me in it. The pics look nice. I have no problem with the whole purchasing of a bit older rig when there is a big money difference (I avoid debt like the plague, maybe too much sometimes), but I can fix tons of things and am great with RV repair, electrics and even a good handful of engine stuff. The mileage on the rig would really matter to me, as well as engine size/power and upkeep. With the class A you can tow a boat (that would really rock to me, and frankly it’s the only reason I’d want a class A), as a scooter is a great toad for me and they fit anywhere (even in the bed of my old truck or in the door of my Oyster Can). Anyway, best of luck with your purchase, and I hope your new rig rocks for ya.

What no slides!! Do not buy it. Check out Class A's with slides and better resale value. 1997 is way too old, try to find at least a 2003 or better.

I bought a 2000 Dolphin from Atkins in 2006, and traveled from Oklahoma to pick it up. It was just what he said it would be. Have never had a problem with it. Very reptuable in my opinion.

Congrats guys on finding your way back to the southern sunshine. "Keep driving till it gets warm" sounds like an awesome plan to me. I'm sort of pining for the Palm trees as well. Especially since a cold front just blew into the North Georgia Mountains. I hope to frolic in the Sun again in January. I may try to go somewhere fun and Floridian for New years, and just stay down there till winter just goes away.

I too loved PEI, lovely place! I enjoyed running around on my scooter all over the Island. I even got into Charlottetown some for some general wandering around. Getting off of the island was the hard part, and I said ouch when they charged me the toll to cross that bridge back to the mainland. And ditto, on The Four Hour Work Week. It is great encouragement for my lifestyle.
I too have trouble with posting discipline on my blogs. I’ve skipped over so many cool travel stories, due to lack of discipline, only to find myself demotivated when the stories became too far away in memory.
Happy travels,
Dale

Hi,
I am 26 years old, Umass graduate and have been full-time rving for almost 3 years. I can't tell you how much I love it and how flexible it has made me to move. I live in Florida near the Gulf right now (and do love it), but can always move if I find somewhere better, lol. I also live with my 2 Poodles and Rat Terrier which are the best company! I think your choice of KZ was the best you could make for a RV. I learned the hard way by buying too small, but recently purchased a 40ft. 4 slide Open Road by Pilgrim with everything from corian counters, Cherry cabinets, 3 flat screens, full residential stainless steel fridge, to a separate bath with full size washer. I was a builder for many years and constructed million dollar homes, but nothing beats having a 5th wheel to live in. Now some questions:
1. You host websites, so how do you keep the connection when you're traveling?
2. How do you keep everything from moving around when you travel i.e. monitors, computers, and all your loose ends?
3. how long (if forever) do you plan on living in your RV, if forever do you have a planned time line to replace it?
4. I spend hours after a trip washing the exterior and getting it back to new, what do you do or do you hire out for that?
5. What do you tell people when they ask why you live in an RV? Because I get funny looks, even when I tell them it's my choice and my rv cost more then some of their home, lol.
I really appreciate you great website and it is nice to know there are other very attractive people living the life of an RVer!

I hit PEI around mid August (last year) it was nice fall weather then. I rambled all over the island on my scooter. I’d not like to be there in the winter though, burrrr.. It is a lovely place in the Summer, oh and Anne Shirley fell hopeless in love with me at Green Gables ;)..

It's Jeanne, the Nurse in Melbourne and Merritt Island. Hope you are doing well since we last spoke! Really like your blog. Mr. Escalade is a beauty. You certainly travel in style. You look great in all your pics. Hope your travels are safe and I look forward to seeing you again when you are in Cocoa Beach!

Happy RVing!

I have been reading your adventures since I first saw your web page. More photos and updates are nice.
I follow this since the wife and I are ready to full time in 23 months.
Plus we bought property on PEI where Bryan is from.
Keep up the good work on your site and keep enjoying life.

Congrats! We're glad that you are back to blogging after that long hiatus. We haven't met, but my wife and I have followed your adventures since the start of your blog. We love the Escalade and may purchase one when we F/T in the next year or so. From Sunny Tampa Bay Florida!
